Graceling - Kristen Cashore

I honestly cannot believe that I haven't written a review on this book yet. So, let me tell ya'll a little story about a chica named Katsa. That's right my fellow cat lovers, this chick has "kat" in her name. Isn't that the dream?
Katsa is a part of a secret rebellion right under the nose of a ruthless king Randa. Katsa being his favorite bully, has to decide where her loyalties lie and what she must do with the power she has been given,
I feel that the summary that I have given of this book is as inadequate as a burnt piece of toast. Not satisfactory but for my purposes, it will have to do.

Sing

SING
In the movie Sing, it is about a group of singers who compete for a 100,000 dollar prize. The boss of the theater, Mr. Moon, is hosting the singing competition, to keep his theater from failing. The prize was only suppose to be a 1,000 dollars, but after a typo, it became 100,000 dollars. Mr. Moon, on the verge of failing, doesn't realize the mistake until the end of auditions, and he is already in trouble with the bank. Together, the singers have to stop what they were doing, and forget about the problems they are currently facing.
I recommend this movie for just about anybody, unless you hate singing. This is a story about struggles, but it is mostly a singing competition. It can be pretty funny, and the movie is really enjoyable. This is a terrific family movie, and it is great for kids. I recommend  this movie for kids, and also adults, unless you do not enjoy singing.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The Curios Incident of The Dog In The Night-Time is about Christopher, who lives with his father. Christopher finds Wellington, dead, with a fork in it's body. Christopher then decides to write a book about the dog, and find out who killed Wellington. Along the way, he discovers a few things that he would never think would happen. Will Christopher find out who killed Wellington? What other secrets will he find out?
I loved this book, and I strongly recommend it for just about everyone. I hope you enjoy it too.

Fantasy of Frost - Kelly St Clare

In this novel, there are two worlds; Osolis and Glacium. Osolis is a burning inferno, while Glacium is a frigid tundra. Olina is the Tatuma of Osolis, a position that should give her immense power. Unfortunately, her mother's abusive rule over their world and Olina keeps her from ever being happy. Olina is forced to wear a veil over her face, and those who see what is underneath it always die. This includes the man she fell in love with
Kedrick, a prince from Glacium. After she is taken hostage by delegates from Glacium, Olina must prove to an entire world that she did not kill their beloved prince. If she can't, the price is her life.

Personally, I liked this book. At times, it did get a little bland, but in general, it was a solid romantic YA read. Olina herself is a strong, mysterious protagonist who adapts quickly and always has a surprise up her sleeve. Watching Olina grow as a person and struggle to find her own identity after her mother's abuse was a heart-wrenching journey in and of itself. If you're into romance, fantasy, deep-seated secrets or adventure, then I would definitely recommend this book.
