Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was a wonderful addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The characters were lovable, the storyline fantastic, and the graphic design lifelike. I had a great time watching the movie and highly suggest you do so as well!
With a trunk full of monsters, Newt Scamander sails to New York, but, during his walk through the city, one of his beasts gets loose. Thus he begins his adventure...

Mistborn: The Final Empire - Brandon Sanderson

Image result for mistborn the final empireThis book follows a young girl named Vin who lives on the streets until she is taken in by a group of people hoping to overthrow the dictatorship that rules the last empire in the world. For those of you think that this is another Tris or Katsa type book, be ready to be wrong. This book is way better than that. This book is my favorite because it is everything that you have ever wanted in a book. It's got social classes, love, fleeting romances, rebellions, plans to do crazy thing that I couldn't even dream up, mystery, dictatorships, and my personal favorite, MAGIC. And this magic isn't your normal Harry Potter kind of magic. It's special. As you get farther into the trilogy, there is a whirlwind of stuff happening like a long time dispute between two gods. By the end of the series, everything from the first book ties together and makes perfect sense completing one of the best trilogies ever. I give this book a solid 5 golden shining stars.

NaNoWriMo: Don’t Care About Trends. Just Write.

It’s almost here. The final week of NaNoWriMo, disrupted (at least for those of us in the US) by the Thanksgiving holidays. That’s right, we only have EIGHT DAYS of NaNo left. We’re hope you’re cruising towards your goal (whether it’s 50k or something else). This week, since the end is near and you might need a little bit of an extra boost to catch up or push through to your goal, we’re bringing you a very special author piece by Sarah Raughley, author of Fate of Flames, which just went on sale today (and which we’re currently featuring an extended excerpt of here)!
We’re, of course, happy to answer any questions, talk about stressors, or give specific helpful tips in the last few days of NaNo. If there’s anything you want us to address, let us know in the comments and we’ll be sure to get you what you need to make it to November 30! Until then, here’s Sarah!   - Click here to see more at RIVETED.
