Crewel by Gennifer Albin

Adelice was born with a gift to weave time and matter together. Her entire life, her parents have taught her to hide her abilities, but one day she slips; and the consequences are devastating. Adelice's family, broken apart. Adelice's life, stolen from under her. Adelice's freedom, gone. In the Guild, where she now trains to be the Creweler, all her decisions are made for her. Her only chance to live will be escape.

Personally, I liked this book. It was a good book, not life-changing or terrible, just good. Towards the very beginning and end, the most action occurs. In the middle, the plot starts to become a little confusing and slow-paced. The idea of "weaving" a completely new world is like nothing I've ever read before, so I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique book to read.

I Hunt Killers - Barry Lyga

7766027Jasper Francis Dent is the son of a ruthless serial killer. His father, Billy, has been teaching Jasper the art of killing since the minute he started walking. Honestly his childhood sound way more interesting than mine. Not better, but definitely more interesting. After his father is finally caught, Jasper tries to fit into a normal person's life. Which is a failed attempt when Jazz realizes there's a new killer in town and he decides it's his personal responsibility to hunt this dude down (hence the title.)

Basically, this book is really good if you're into the whole detective scene. And even if you aren't, it's still a really good book/series. There's a little in there for everyone. For example. Love yourself some romance, you got it! Gore, definitely some gore. Action packed thriller that makes you heart race. Yes, ma'am/sir. Looking for some BFF goals. You wish you had a friend as cool as Howie.

"How Functionally Fit are You?" AWESOME WORKOUT!

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

I'm writing a post at 12:56 am because I'm bored and haven't posted in a really long time.

Anyway, hi. My name is Lauren. You probably won't know who I am because I never post (sorry) and also because of the cringey pen name I made up when I was 13. I regret so much. I don't, however, regret reading Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I picked it up because of all the recent events that've happened and because I wanted something lighthearted & funny to read. I wasn't disappointed. This book is a perfect blend of hilarious, suspenseful, emotional, and lighthearted. As a member of the LGBT community, I found this book to be spot on as to what it feels like to be a closeted, confused kid. If you're a member of the LGBT community, or are looking for a good LGBT book to read, I highly recommend you pick this one up.
