2015 Teens' Top Ten titles announced!

The results are in!
YALSA has announced the official titles of the 2015 Teens’ Top Ten. Teens all over the world voted starting August 15 with voting lasting through Teen Read Week™ (October 18-24, 2015). Altogether, over 27,000 votes were cast for the 24 nominees
The official 2015 Teens’ Top Ten titles are as follows:

Teen Advisory Board Meeting



Our next Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting is Tuesday, October 27th from 4-5:30 pm!

Join TAB and get volunteer credit for promoting library services to teens at the Westminster Public Libraries:
  • Advise, plan, and participate in teen programs.
  • Post reviews and teen news on the Teen Underground blog/website.
  • Promote teen reading and news by creating bulletin boards and displays in the Teen Underground areas.
  • Recommend materials for the young adult collection.
Attend one of our TAB meetings to get started!

Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Voting is open from August 15 through Teen Read Week, which is October 18-24, 2015! Top Ten titles will be announced on October 27, 2015, so check back to see the winners!

‘Shadowhunters’: Series Debuts January 12 On ABC Family/Freeform

ABC Family (soon to be Freeform) has posted a sneak peak at its new series Shadowhunters The show will premiere at 9PM Tuesday, January 12 on the rebranded Freeform. In the runup to the show based on Cassandra Clare’s bestselling fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments, the network also will air Beyond the Shadows: The Making of Shadowhunters on Sunday, December 6th at 9:30PM. In January, the Disney-owned network will be rebranded as Freeform.
