This is story of a girl l who just wants to be accepted by her peers; despite the fact her mother is a religious fanatic. However, after a traumatic incident in the girls’ locker room, things start to change for Carrie, it seems for the better. She gets telekinetic powers and she gets asked to the prom. Even though she knows it is a form of atonement for what happened, she still is hopeful. This is false hope though, because the end of the book is the worst and best part at the same time, because Carrie has finally had enough and decides to exact her revenge. This is a great book for anyone who enjoys a mild horror story with really lifelike and characters who no matter what they do, you can relate to.
